Predator Prey Simulation using VBA

In this post, I thought I would share my attempts to create a simple Predator and Prey simulation in Excel using VBA. In the video below the prey are in blue, and the predator is in red. The predator’s aim is to eat everything in its path, and the (mostly) slower prey’s aim is to try and avoid being eaten!

The original plan was to have multiple predators and different sets of reproducing prey, but I found the more I added to the simulation the more sluggish the overall effect became. As a result, I decided to settle for a single predator. Nevertheless, I thought the results were interesting enough to share despite not having spent too much time on this.
